Deborah Tate-Lewis

Deborah Ann Tate-Lewis is the proud mother of Carl Leonard Lewis, Jr. and Jock Jamaal Lewis; the grandmother of Gabriel Jamal Lewis; and the mother-in-law of Chastity Lewis. ​ Ms. Lewis received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Dallas Baptist University. Ms. Lewis retired from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth Company with 35+ years of service in the Accounting and Finance Department.

Ms. Lewis has a passion for developing, coordinating, and administering events/programs designed to help uplift the hearts and spirits of people in need. To that end, she has served on the Board of Directors of various non-profit organizations for the sole purpose of giving back. She currently serves as Chairman of Annual Tarrant County Harambee Festival; her brainchild that she conceived in 2008, brought into fruition in 2010 and continues to oversee annually. Through sponsorship, the festival is free to the public and the major fundraiser for the day to day operations of the headquarters of the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society, the Lenora Rolla Heritage Center Museum. Ms. Lewis' other passion lies within the ministry that she manages for her son, “Jock Lewis Gospel Music Ministries.” Ms. Lewis attends The Potter’s House of Fort Worth where she serves as a Lay Helper offering spiritual counseling; and where she helped establish the KEENagers Senior Ministry of the church.
