Dr. Melondy Doddy-Munoz, a Fort Worth native, strives to provide hope and change in her community. With an unwavering dedication to equity and social justice, she has made it her life's mission to ensure a brighter, more inclusive future for underrepresented and under-resourced residents of Fort Worth.
At the heart of Dr. Doddy-Munoz's work is a profound commitment to dismantling systemic barriers. Her innovative, data-driven approach consistently delivers best-in-class experiences that educate, elevate, and empower those often left on the margins. As a former non-profit Executive Director, she led groundbreaking initiatives supporting lower-income women and youth survivors of domestic violence, addressing critical needs in the community.
Dr. Doddy-Munoz's passion for equity extends deep into the realm of education. Drawing from her own experiences as a proud first-generation graduate, she has served in leadership roles at multiple higher education institutions, including TCU. Her focus on college access and P-20 initiatives has been instrumental in increasing the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students entering and completing postsecondary education in Tarrant County.
Academically, Dr. Doddy-Munoz is well-equipped to tackle complex social issues. She holds a B.S. in Comparative Religious Studies, an M.Ed. with emphasis in Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from TCU, complemented by multiple graduate certifications. This robust educational background informs her equity-minded approach and her ability to navigate and transform organizational systems.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Doddy-Munoz is a devoted wife and mother to two spirited daughters. She brings the same passion for equity and community-building to her personal life, instilling these values in her family while enjoying travels, culinary adventures, and quality time together.
